Whether you’re a fiction or non-fiction writer, journalist or reviewer, this seminar will inform the emergent writer to the pitfalls and pleasures of a career in writing.
Christopher Currie is a Brisbane-based writer whose first novel, The Ottoman Motel was published by Text Publishing in 2011. He was recently awarded The 2012 Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship for Prose. He maintains the barely-tolerated literary blog Furious Horses. www.furioushorses.com
Angela Slatter is a Brisbane-based writer of speculative fiction. Her collection, The Girl with No Hands and Other Tales (2010), won the Aurealis Award for Best Collection and her other collection of 2010, Sourdough & Other Stories, was shortlisted for the World Fantasy Award for Best Collection.
