Historical Adventure is a versatile and enduring genre that covers dramas, epics, can include fantasy elements, and is written for virtually any age group. In this vibrant two-part series, Simon Higgins, will guide writers through the conception and development of a commercially viable historical tale, whether a standalone epic or a genre series that draws on ancient or hybridised cultures. Simon will provide personalised coaching and advice on steering the work towards publication.

Simon Higgins is a former police officer and homicide investigator, and writes historical adventures set in Japan, where he has trained in laido: traditional duelling. His novels are studied as Asian history and culture curriculum texts. His work is published in several countries, including the US with the publishers of Twilight.
