Discover the vast online opportunities available to establish your author platform, and develop the digital strategies to effectively access readers, build an engaged online community, promote your work, and explore ways to leverage your blog to generate income. Peter M. Ball’s SF and fantasy short fiction has been widely published and in 2009, he won the Aurealis Award for Best Science Fiction Short Story. His faerie-noir novella, Horn, was published in 2009 by Twelfth Planet Press, and was followed by Bleed in 2010.

Year of the Author Platform is not a beginner course. This course is for writers who are interested in developing a sophisticated online presence through multiple forms of digital publishing. All students will come away from the course with a year of online content and a plan for the next year of posting.

All students are expected to be familiar with their chosen web platform (i.e. Blogger, WordPress, etc.) and other social media (i,e, Facebook, Twitter).
