After five years as Editor, Jason Nahrung will leave the position at the end of 2015. Jason's commitment for the masthead has been a credit to himself and the organisation. We thank him for his time with WQ and wish him every success in his future endeavours.
Now a quarterly A4 magazine, the WQ you will get in your mailbox seasonally should be read in tandem with the magazine’s online counterpart, writingqueensland.com.au. WQ is not just a magazine for Queensland writers – it examines issues and topics within the Australian writing community, while still maintaining a strong Queensland focus.
WQ is themed each issue, and contains articles relevant to that theme from writers in Queensland and the rest of the world. Each issue also contains four pages of competitions and opportunities, member milestones, articles, and workshops and events. WQ is delivered to QWC members on the first of every month (unless that day falls on a weekend).
WQ and writingqueensland.com.au feature content commissioned by Queensland Writers Centre as well as articles pitched to the masthead. QWC welcomes pitches and submissions from interested parties year round. For full submission details, see Submissions on writingqueensland.com.au.
